Lunch and Snacks







I ate my orange and grapefruit and 2 cookies all before lunch time...I guess I was hungry! I had a student teacher visiting so I missed lunch chatting with her and had to eat it later than usual. I just finished a left over bowl of the delicious chili and had a large salad...you can see it in the background! I finished off my lunch with a small, but icing heavy piece of cake. I know that icing is the most disgusting thing you can eat...but I LOVE it! I am leaving this evening for a 2 night girls weekend in Vail. I don't think we will have internet, but I will be faithfully taking photos!

Workout and Breakfast


It is only 8:30and I have already been awake for 4 hours...this day is not getting any calmer any time soon! The gym was great this morning- 45 minutes elliptical (500 cal), 5 minutes rowing (50 cal), and 20 minutes core (100 calories?). I had breakfast when I got to school, a mini pb and j with some cukes and I will eat the orange while I am teaching...have a great day!

Last Night's Dinner






The computer was being ridiculous last night and I couldn't post! On my drive to tutoring I at the rest of that bag of skittles. While I was tutoring I had an apple with a tbs. of peanut butter. I came home with the intention of making fajitas, but it didn't quite come out that way...a little more like chicken, pepper, onion, enchilada sauce, tortilla surprise! It was so good, i had another half bowl...After dinner I had two of the cookies on the pan! Yum!

Whoa Lunch!



The PTA at our school made a delicious lunch for all the teachers! I had a bowl of chili, some fresh veggies and some rice with salsa. It was delicious. They also had my favorite Mexican soda, Jarritos- so I had about 2/3 of that (pure sugar) Before lunch, maybe 3rd period, I had my grapefruit...and led a class discussion about vitamin C! Tutoring this afternoon and then packing for my weekend trip to VAIL!!! More later....

Workout and Breakfast



Today was a good day at the gym, but you know it's a problem when you already feel rushed at 5:15am! I got in four miles of walking fast with varying incline on the treadmill in 52 minutes, 450 calories. I did strength training for 20 minutes, 100 calories. I went home and got ready for school as quickly as I could because I didn't want to eat until I got here and could take a picture!!! I had a mini pb and j tortilla (250 cal) and an orange. PB and J will make another appearance this afternoon...probably as an after lunch snack!

Snack and Dinner...No Pics...

I left my camera at school- it totally screwed my picture taking. I did have another pb and j mini tortilla before heading to the gym (200 cal). I did hte same workout my group was doing- just at the gym. So it was 4x8 minute repeats of zone 2 (pretty fast but can still talk) with 1 minute of walking in between (450 cal). Derek made an awesome broccoli, pepper and tofu stirfry with black bean sauce and brown rice (450 cal). Yum...too bad no picture! Oh, and I also had a glass of CIB post workout (120). Again. sorry no pics!

Munch yo' Lunch!


I thought I would save my orange for this afternoon- but I was just so hungry! I had another large spinach, red pepper, red onion, craisin salad with a mini tortilla pb and j. Rounded out with an orange it is a pretty healthy meal. This day is starting to fly by- it is still really cold out so I might opt for another trip to the gym instead of running group this evening- we'll have to see! It's also really hard to go on a Tuesday night to the group when I know that I will get home so much later than if I just went to the gym a second time....

Total calories = about 400

Workout and Breakfast


I was pretty tired this morning, but it felt good to get to the gym! My running group is this evening so I took it a little easy with 30 minutes elliptical, 5 minutes rowing and 15 minutes core training (420 cal).

For breakfast I made 2 packets of oatmeal with 1 tbs of flax. I also grabbed a grapefruit to eat while I am getting ready for the kids this morning (440 cal).

Dinner and Snacks





Long afternoon....I had a granola bar, fuze drink, and a handful of skittles on my way to this never ending, boring meeting. The served us dinner- sandwiches and soup...the soup was great, 120 cal and from Safeway. I had a grapefruit while I was tutoring and some cookies when I got home.

Lunch on the run!




Everything feels rushed today---after school I need to stop by the bank, and then it is off to a 2 hour meeting and then tutoring....arrrggghhh! (That's what a pirate would say.) For lunch I had a HUGE salad, strawberry yogurt and an apple. I may grab a quick PB and J this afternoon to hold me over...we'll see...

Breakfast and Workout


It is only 8:25am and I have already done way too much! I was up at 4:40am and at the gym to work out- 52 minutes/4miles walking fast with a lot of incline + 20 minutes of strength training (550 call). My muscles are sore...running, skiing, and yoga in one weekend will do that! For breakfast I had a glass of CIB (which I forgot to photo) a small PB and J tortilla on my new ww 50 cal tortillas and I will eat that orange between classes...off to teach!!!

Wow- I am tired~ Today was a day with not enough produce- we went shopping for groceries and really stocked up so I am excited for some healthy meals this week. For dinner I made (another) bagel sandwich with veggie turkey, spinach and hummus and paired it with a huge spinach, red pepper, red onion and craisin salad. It felt good to eat some delicious, nutritious choices for a change!

Breakfast,Skiing, Lunch...





Breakfast= bagel, egg and cheddar + cookie

Lunch = chili (skipped the cheese and crackers) + I ate almost all of that milkshake!


Not the healthiest eating day I've had, but about 500 calories burned skiing so hopefully I won't die of a heart attack!

Yesterday's Dinner...




I took a great yoga class this afternoon, but it was hard...running this morning def tired me out. After yoga I had some CIB and two "healthy" cookies. We had dinner with friends/family and it was awesome! Chicken, peppers and onions and all kinds of taco toppings....I had one wrapped in a warm burrito, and some extra w/o the burrito after.

Tomorrow is a ski day so I am off to sleep...

Breakfast, Workout and Lunch!





It has been a very busy morning! I woke up early and was doing a lot of "simplifying", ie: cleaning out stuff we don't need anymore. I had two packets of oatmeal and a glass of water. Then it was off to running group- today we had a long run scheduled- we went for 9.5 miles in a VERY VERY strong wind- gusts up to 50 mph!!! The first 1/2 of the run was into the wind, but the second half it was on our backs, which was nice! After running I had 1/2 of a clif bar that has been laying around in my car (I know, gross), a can of pineapple and 1/4 of a ww tortilla with pb and j. I had the tortilla and the pineapple at school- I was there for a few hours doing work. For my real lunch I jsut had a bowl of mac and cheese with salsa. I eat this a lot- and it is okay for you, but not great. As soon as we eat up the 7 boxes we have left I am going to be on the lookout for ww mac and cheese. OKay it's off to do more errand and house stuff...

Dinner






This afternoon I went for a hike after school- just 2.5 miles, but it was great to be outside, in the mountains, in the daylight! After my hike I had 1/2 a mug of chai and 2 of my "healthy" cookies. For dinner we went to The Sink- I had a beer, a burger and a side salad, plus a few (10) fries from Derek's plate. It was delicious!

Wrap up- Exercise calories = 500+200 (for the hike?), Food calories = 2200. Net calories = 1500ish

Lunch



Maybe 30 minutes after my earlier post I stopped by the teachers room and remembered that Friday is teacher breakfast day. SO I munched on half of a bagel with light cream cheese and had a coffee while I socialized a bit. For lunch I had some carrots and hummus and a nice serving of my leftover lasagna. It was so delicious and I am so proud of it because it has ww noodles and A LOT of spinach!

Going for a little hike this afternoon...I can't wait to get some fresh air, on a school day!

Breakfast


I feel so much better today- it's like I am a new person...Friday will tend to do that though!I started the day with a great workout- 40 minutes elliptical at varying resistance and 20 minutes of core exercises (500 cal). I mixes up breakfast a little with a fat free strawberry yogurt, one packet of maple brown sugar oatmeal and I grabbed a tangelo to eat at school before the kids arrive (350 cal). It is going to be a busy day, maybe with a hike this afternoon! More posts later...

Dinner



I as feeling great after my workout, but I still wanted to eat a pretty bland dinner. While Derek chowed down on the delicious left over lasagna, I made a bagel sandwich with hummus, spinach, and more of those deli veggie slices. I also has some baby carrots with it. After dinner I had a cup of chai, it looks big but is only half full, with 2 of my "healthy cookies".

Wrap Up- Exercise=500 cal, Food=2000, NET=1500 calories.

Lunch, Snacks and Workout





By lunch time I was feeling a little bit better so I had two packets of apple cinnamon oatmeal I had at school and a can of drained pineapples. It was an okay lunch, but around 3:45, on my way to tutor a massive headache set in. Like the worst I have ever experienced! I had been drinking water all day , so it wasn't dehydration. I stopped at Safeway and had the strangest snack combo ever- a diet Pepsi and smart deli, veggie meat slices! I also popped 2 aspirin. Withing 15 minutes I was feeling 100% better! So good in fact that after tutoring I went to the gym and walked for an hour on the treadmill with a lot of incline! (500 call) I had my running group scheduled, but I was afraid of feeling sick again and being out with the group, far from the car, while at the gym if I felt awful I could have just left. Thank goodness, I felt great!

PS- I almost forgot, I had a very small taste of cake that someone brought in from New Orleans...King cake or something...It was ok- not worth the calories!

Breakfast


Yuck...I feel awful this morning. So terrible I actually skipped the gym. I am just very nauscious, and I know exactly why. I have a problem with my esophagus and I am not supposed to eat chocolate- I knew the hot chocolate would kill me, and it did! Alright, lesson learned. I munched on half of this piece of bread this morning to try and calm my stomach. I will have to try and eat some more bland food later....

Dinner





So Tired!!! It has been a long afternoon and a long night. I did stop on my way to tutoring and actually grabbed a hot chocolate- I was just craving it- but not the smartest pick me up choice! For dinner, my friend Aylaan was visiting so Derek did the cooking- another big spinach salad and some mac and cheese with salsa. I made another batch of my "healthy cookies" and had 2 of those as well. All in all not a terrible eating day, but not the best either...
